Finally after “a little” break Stephen Jones license is back to Japan, with AURORA company this time, and it had its lovely launch at British Embassy in Tokyo – with dress code: “Hats Essential”, of course!! Lucky us [read: me and some of my friends] were invited to this event on Stephen`s behalf. All dressed in hats we enjoyed it much mingling with the crowd and… the hats – from aw2013 collection as well as some of the designer`s iconic pieces; and of course with Stephen Jones himself as the main guest.
I was very lucky to meet Stephen on few occasions during his this time visit in Tokyo – apparently it is easier to see him here than in London. All about it soon, after the Golden Week Fever fades away.

MARC JACOBS ICONIC SHOWPIECES EXHIBITION - it just can`t be missed!! It is not so often to have an opportunity to check on with the real “iconic pieces” of Marc Jacobs world. At the IDOL, a new hot venue in Tokyo`s Aoyama district, “space composer” Junji Tanigawa created very modern exhibition space taking us for a real adventure with Mr Jacobs collections. Apart Iconic pieces we have his iconic bags and all with vidoe screens playing his iconic collections. There is also another treat for eye – mini exhibition of ad campaign photos – all by Jurgen Teller, of course; featuring Victoria Beckham and Sophia Coppola to name few. At the opening reception there was an opportunity to take picture in the huge Marc Jacobs`s shopping bag as Mrs Beckahm did for 2008 campaign.
the exhibition is on till 14th April, from 11:00~23:00; http://idoltokyo.com/

Thom Browne is one of the pretty new designer-brand I do truly “adore” and respect. So, sometimes ago, the evening was already special since his Aoyama boutique /Tokyo/ was about to open. Windowless, concrete grey, simple and plain, divided into smaller separated rooms giving you the idea of being at somebody`s house in a way – walk-in closets and very minimal living rooms with no windows, of course. The designer himself attended the opening, and then… his arm around me… Special. Unexpected. Respect.

After long relationship history – Koko san, her brand Matriochka and MATSUYA GINZA, has collaborated on pop up boutique – 3rd floor and only till 19th March. Maybe you won`t be that lucky to see Koko san herself, as I was, on the spot but you can still go through her latest collection as well as some of her archive pieces, plus some designs made especially on the occasion – among them T-shirts and bags with Mexican motifs. WELCOME to Koko`s magical world and please visit Matriochka`s pop up corner before 19th!!!

I was interviewed by friend of mine Tomoko Inuzuka of Beams Vermeerist for BEAMS website last year. LONDON CROSS TALK 1 was published some time ago and I have just now found it accidentally – never ” read” it before. For the whole interview pls check http://catalog.beams.co.jp/2012aw/vol03/ladys/vermeerist/

Some time ago I had a pleasure to work on a project for one magazine together with Louis Vuitton. And the occasion was a release of quite exclusive collection of city bags called Haute Maroquinerie. It is collection of five models: three handbags designs inspired by the icons /Lockit 1958, Triangle 1934, Noe 1932/ and two new shapes / Trapeze, Berlingot/. Each of the models can be only “reached” as a private order and every lady /or some gentlemen I guess too/ can personalize it to its maximum – to make it one and only for her/his own, by choosing desired model, the leather, the colour /outside and inside – up to 26 colours together/ and the finish /zippers, locks, labels etc/. Of course I do not need to mention that all is in its highest quality as the Louis Vuittion always provides. The private order can be placed only by appointment – visiting the maison`s VIP rooms – in Japan only at its two stores – at Louis Vuitton Namiki Dori /Ginza/ as well as at its store in Osaka. For the project I was invited to visit one of the VIP rooms, at Ginza store, and have some snapshots of it which I would like to share – to present an exclusive quick look inside of Haute Maroquinerie. For the launch of the collection four very stylish and successful ladies were invited to order one of the designs: model Ai Tominaga, stylist Isabel Dupre, very stylish Italian blogger Chiara Ferragni and renowned Japanese architect Yuko Nagayama.

LEATHERS to choose: Supple Leathers /Veau Soie, Veau Bougie, Veau Ecore/, Structured Leathers /Chevre Frisson, Vochette Nomade, Veau Box/, Exotic Leathers /Crocodilians/; Leather Linings /Goat Lining, Lambskin Lining/.
LV trunk with all you need to create your very own Haute Maroquinerie hand bag – full of colour swatches, leather swatches and finish pieces; there is also space for ipad

shopping time and bags are everywhere – Nagayama san deciding on her own design

IMPORTANT: by appointment only
VIP Room in drawing and Nagiyama san`s choice – TRAPEZE handbag; more about the project click HERE
