The first I discovered Candy ShowTime
– originally from Austarlia and now recreated in Japan – a store with hand-crafted candies on all shapes and colours, and what the most amazing about it is that you can get hypnotised by watching the whole process of making candies hours and hours. It is one of the kind stores which take you to the new world – kind of like stepping on the other side of the mirror glass or simply sliding in the rabbit whole. Inspiration.
Then the Xmas season started and I have received request from UK based international shopping website FARFETCH
to create editorial called CANDYLAND with new fashion looks of the season. So obviously the first thing what i did was visiting CandyShow time in Omotesando to get myself even more into sugar coated, candyland-mood. And here there is the result – one of my favourite editorial I have down for a while. And also it was good to start working for European clients again. Refreshing
But the most of all I have got proof again that to stay truly creative is to look at the world via child`s eyes – no in judgmental way but with passion and amusement. Purity.
and even more sweets on the way:
one my recent packaging projects: Cookie Box inspired by Merry-goes-around for just-opened patisserie Q Sweet
by Queenie Wu.
and my last CANDY -treat: Adidas classic Stan Smith by/with Pharrell Williams twist in candy-red colour. My Taipei souvenir. Very Sweet.
