Przemek Sobocki

Graduated as an Interior Designer at Academy of Fine Arts in Poland, studying also Fashion Design, then moved to London and eventually ended up in Tokyo. For his first illustration story the TOUCH for 125 magazine he receives Best Editorial 2005 at V&A Illustration Award, UK. Since then he works internationally as an illustrator and art director. Belongs to AVGVST management.

Tokyo Design Week has started  and among hundreds of attractions and events around  there is one little but very special exhibition: Jean-Paul Philipe at Barneys New York, Shinjuku. Artist himself has arrived to Tokyo to launch it and especially for this occasion he has also created special work displayed in Barneys NY window. Inside you can see his little mobile installation as well as some of his paintings. Even it is an art exhibition Mr Phillipe is an artist and designer responsible for the look of Barneys NY – filling it up with his murals and installations and even the colours – and it is not only at the New York store but also here in Tokyo at its Ginza branch. Check it up – the exhibition at Shinjuku branch is till Sunday, 4th Nov.
