AWの服に身をつつみ、通り過ぎていく女の子たちを見ると、黒く塗りたい。
他の色はいらない。すべて黒色に変えたい。

We are living in a world where the only thing we hear everyday are the tragic news...
So, at least, have a joyful time with fashion to fill you up with hope!!!
ISSUE 36 is definitely an issue to make you feel HAPPY!

変革の空気と戦後最大の好景気『バブル経済』に沸いた80’s。
ISSUE35ではファッションやカルチャーが謳歌し、文化的にも豊かで人も街も生き生きと輝きに満ち溢れていた80’sにタイムトリップ！

Japan experienced the the peak of so called “Economic bubble.” That is the 80’s - the time of revolution and the the time of prosperity.. Let’s make a time warp back to the 80’s...a time when fashion, culture and people were filled with brilliance...

Fantasy world of the bright colours, florals, graphics and prints that represents the humour, the sweetness and innocence which every grown-up woman have within herself. Also, Japanese world-class "FANTASY" Sanrio charactors are featured!

ISSUE33: BACK TO CLICHÉ

Back to Classic をキーワードに真の女性らしさを求める時代が再来。クラシックな感性が鮮やかな色とともに甦った世界を荒木経惟の撮りおろしをはじめ、FASHION・ART・MUSIC…を通して発信します。

The time when people pursue the true feminity with the keyword "Back to Classic" is back.
The issue contains the shoot by Nobuyoshi Araki and other fashion, art and music topics with classical aesthetic and elements.

ISSUE32: JANUS

正反対の方向を向き2つの顔を持つ神、JANUS。commons&sense ISSUE32 は FUTURISM と ROMANTICISM という2つあるトレンドをひとつの大きな空気感でお伝えします。

Janus - Roman god of gates and doorways, depicted with two faces looking in opposite directions. The issue rounds up this season's trend "futurism" and "romanticism."

ISSUE31: WOMAN ON TOP

男性にはない女性にしかない強さがある。commons&sense ISSUE31 は、ファッション、カルチャー、アート、音楽… さまざまなフィルターを通して“強い女”の素顔に迫ります。

Women has the strength which men do not have. The issue approaches the reality of "power women" through various aspects.

ISSUE30: TRADITION & LEGEND

日本の素晴らしい伝統と美、そして今もなお生まれる新しい歴史…。古い昔から語り継がれる伝統と私たちが語り継いで行くであろう伝統。commons&sense はその瞬間に輝くファッションを表現します。

Fascination of Japanese beauty and tradition...added to that, is the constantly changing new history... This issue catches the moment of fashion which exist in between tradition and new waves.

ISSUE29: TRIP

旅をすることは時に、新しい出会い、発見、そして別れを生み、新しい自分を発見させてくれる。太古の昔から人々は旅することをやめない。人にとって旅をすることとはもっと新しい何かに出会いたいからなのだろうか…。

When people go travelling there are always some new encounter, new discovery and also farewell's, which leads you to the moment when you can find yourself in another perspective. From ancient times, people do not stop travelling. It's perhaps because they want to encounter something new...?

ISSUE28: BRILLIANT

今、世界は輝きに満ちている、とはいえない状況にあるかもしれません。重く暗い状況にあるからこそ、commons&sense は『輝き』について考えます。ファッションやメイクアップで人間は簡単に美しく輝くことができる。『輝き』を求めることは人にとってとても重要です。内面からの輝く力もそこに宿っているはずだと信じたい。

It may not be the moment with full of brilliance. As the current situation in society suffers the dark and heavy time, commons&sense thinks about "Brilliance." People can look beautiful with fashion and make-up. To pursue "Brilliance" is very important. We want to believe that the inner beauty is also there.

ISSUE27: GLAM

見たことのないものに触れた時の新鮮さと驚きは、つねに私たちに新しい可能性を与えてくれる。固定の概念に囚われていては、あらゆるものの魅力に気付くことが出来ない。時には常識の枠を打ち破り、その外側へ突き進む勇気も必要。そのエナジーから生まれてくる『GLAM』を共有したい。たとえば、DAVID BOWIE の『LADY STARDUST』のように。

The freshness and surprise of unseen things give us always new perspective. When men are enslaved by stereotypes, they never be able to feel new allure. We sometimes need to break the wall and go a little further. We want to share this "GLAM" which comes out from this energy, like "LADY DUST" from DAVID BOWIE.

ISSUE26: HEAL

目に見えないストレスがつねに私たちを圧迫しています。欲求や尖った感情をぶつけ合い、傷つけ合い、そこに存在するすべてのものが互いにストレスを与え合う都会では、もはや安息できる場所も時間もないように感じます。 commons&sense ISSUE26 は、少し立ち止まって休息することを提案します。自分を包むものすべてのために、まずは疲れ切った自分と大切な人を癒す（heal）ことから…。

We are put under the unbeheld pressure and stress. In the urban society where everything is stressed out, there seems to be no place and time for us to rest... The issue proposes to stop for a while and take some rest. Let's look at yourself and think about healing yourself and the person who is important to you...

ISSUE25: INDEPENDENT

INDEPENDENT とは何か？経済的？社会的？精神的？本当の INDEPENDENT って何だろう？これからの INDEPENDENT ってどうあるべきか？INDEPENDENT = 自立している（形）。独立している人（名）。自主の（形）。無所属の（形）。気ままなこと（名）。人は一人で生きていけるわけではありません。お互いに支え合っていかなければ、この社会を築くこともできません。いろいろな意味でお互いに支え合うバランスが崩壊しつつある今…。多くの人が INDEPENDENT について考えるキッカケになれば…。

What is independence? Economically? Socially? Mentally? What is real independence? How should we be independent now? We can not live alone. Unless we mutually support each other, the society does not work. Now this mutual support is collapsing... It would be great if this issue helps you think about "independence."

ISSUE24: BREAK ON THROUGH!!

「常識って何？常識は誰が作るのか？」「あなたの常識と私の常識は同じものなのか？」そんな疑問からスタートし、常にオリジナルのクリエーションを表現してきた commons&sense。創刊6周年を迎える今、再びその初期衝動を抱き、誰の物真似でもないオリジナルの力強さを伝えます。『BREAK ON THROUGH!! to the other side』。特別付録は2曲入りCDと『BOOK WORM mag』vol.01。

"What is common sense?" " Is our commons sense the same as yours?" commons&sense started from these simple questions and created its own philosophy for 6 years. Now we go back to this root and show you the dynamism of originality with special supplement CD with 2 tracks and "BOOK WORM mag vol.01."

ISSUE23: TIME

『時間』とは、一体何だろう？私たちは『時間』という単位に縛られ、生活している。世界中のすべての人が平等に、同じ24時間を生きているはずなのに、それは決して同じものではない。長い一秒、あっという間の一年。豊かな時間、無駄な時間…。『時間』とつねに向き合って生きる私たち。 commons&sense は、人と時間について考えます。ISSUE23 のテーマは、『TIME』。

What is "time"? We are sometimes trapped with this unit called "time." Although each of us living in this world has 24 hours a day, this does not mean the same length and value. One second can feel like a long time, and on the other side, one year can feel like a quick blink. Rich and varied time opposed to fruitless time.... We are always facing "time." The issue thinks about time and us human being.

ISSUE22: STREET

今、『STREET』という言葉を耳にしたとき、私たちはある画一的なイメージを連想してしまう。たとえば、ストリートファッション、流行、ストリートカルチャー。あらゆるものが交差し、影響を及ぼし合い、新しい何かが生まれる場所として過剰に期待される『STREET』。本来は「人の手によって作られた道」を意味する『STREET』は、個人が外に出て自分以外のものとダイレクトにコミュニケーションしようとする時、最初の通過点として足下にある存在。そして、目に見える道だけでなく、目に見えない人の道もある。道。ストリート。ISSUE22 のテーマは、『STREET』です。

When we hear the word "street," we tend to have one off-the-shelf images which are street fashion, trend and street culture. This "street" is now expected to be a platform where new things arise. When you go outside to communicate with strangers, this "street" is just under you, the first passing point is "street." There is a street which is visible and sometimes invisible. "Street" is the theme of the issue.

ISSUE21: VERY GOOD !?

何が良くて何が良くないのか？あまりに混沌としている社会の中で、口先だけの薄っぺらいコミュニケーション。モヤモヤ閉ざされた心の壁が少しストレスに感じています。オブラートやカモフラージュに包まれない純粋な気持ちで人に接し自分を表現したい。そう、子どもの頃によく聞いたあのフレーズを、『very good!（よくできました！）』このダイレクトでストレートな気持ちのいい言葉に着目しました。ファッションを媒介として ISSUE21『very good!（よくできました！）』をシンプルな気持ちでストレートに表現し、プロローグします。

What is good and what is not? There are many communication which is vain in content in this upside-down world. we feel that stressful. We want to be more clear in communication without any ambiguity. The issue focuses on this direct and straight phrase "very good!" which you have heard often when you were a childhood. We prologue this feeling through fashion in straight way.

ISSUE20: BEAUTIFUL WORLD

私たちが暮らすこの世界には、自然が創り出した美しい世界と人の創造によって生み出された美しい世界があります。さらに、逆にこの世界では目を覆いたくなるような醜い世界が存在することも確か。しかし、純粋にこの美しい世界にふれていたい。 commons&sense ISSUE20 は、目を覆いたくなるような醜い世界をも美しい世界に変えてしまう、そんな ISSUE。人の創造によって生み出された美しいファッションはもちろん、 commons&sense の視点であらゆる『BEAUTIFUL WORLD』を表現します。

There is a beautiful world which was created by nature and another created by human being. However it is true that there is a world, which is very ugly and do not want to look squarely. If possible we want to keep looking at this beautiful world. The issue makes even this ugly world to be beautiful. Starting from the fashion which was created by us human beings, and other beauty of the world through a perspective of commons&sense.
